After months of in-depth study and multiple rounds of technical consultations, Dalian Container Shipping, a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Holdings, signed the addendum with Liaoning Port Group in May 2026 for the GSBN (Global Shipping Business Network) platform access and technical integration.

This signifies GSBN’s formal deployment in Dalian and its strong foothold in Northeast China. Dalian Container Shipping will hence realize complete digital integration of end‑to‑end supply chain for shipping containers in export and import—from eBL issuance and cross‑chain data exchange to terminal cargo release—accelerating the upgrading of Dalian Port into a paperless and intelligent shipping hub in Northeast Asia.                    

Throughout the consultation process, both parties worked closely with each other to refine every technical detail and ultimately came to an agreement on the platform access and key addendums. The project team overcame system barriers and built a highly efficient and reliable data channel:

• COSCO SHIPPING sends electronic delivery order (EDO) and forwarder authorization data to the GSBN platform. GSBN then makes seamless connection with Liaoning Port’s blockchain‑based digital trade service platform. After the notarization by the Liaoning Port Logistics Alliance Network, the data is synchronized in real time to the DPN e‑release platform.

• Upon verification, the DPN platform automatically generates an electronic release instruction that is transmitted directly to the terminal operating system, thus enabling efficient container release. Gate‑out status is then fed back to COSCO SHIPPING through the same channel, forming a complete and trustworthy digital business loop. Full‑process testing covers all technical nodes and operational scenarios, manifesting the stability and reliability of the system.

This initiative represents a fundamental transformation from the traditional paper‑based bills of lading and multi‑party manual document verification. It reduces document‑handling time by over 90%, whereby significantly cutting logistics costs and human‑error risks, and marking a leap in the quality of import cargo release operations:
