30 September 2026 – Shanghai – COSCO SHIPPING HOLDINGS is pleased to announce a new weekly service ESA3, connecting Far East and the East Coast of South America (ECSA), to be launched in December 2026, as our third service in this market, increasing service frequency and combined with supporting feeder and supply chain services, providing our valued customers with higher-quality and more efficient end-to-end transport solutions.

The new branded ESA3 service will commence in Ningbo around 17th December.

Rotation:  Ningbo – Shanghai – Shekou – Singapore – Santos – Navegantes – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Navegantes – Santos – Coega* – Singapore – Hong Kong* – Ningbo.

(Port Coega subject to Terminal confirmation in October, Port Hong Kong also subject to subsequent confirmation.)

    Features of ESA3:

    ESA3 service focuses on the East China, South China and Southeast Asia markets at its Far East end, while fully covering the East Coast of South America region at its South American end, effectively reaching Brazil and the River Plate area. Capacity in the Brazil region has been significantly expanded, service frequency to Argentina and Uruguay has been increased, and transit times are also market-leading. The call at Coega (subject to Terminal confirmation in October) will provide a fast corridor for agricultural products and reefer containers from South Africa to Southeast Asia and China. With higher-frequency, more comprehensive and more stable services, and with extensive truck and feeder network connections, it will provide our valued customers with faster, more convenient logistics service support for the development of their businesses.

Feeder Services:

1.    Feeder service via Santos to Salvador and Vitória.

2.    Feeder service via Montevideo to Asunción.

Supply Chain Services:

Brazil offers 193 basic trucking product routes, fully covering the core ports of Santos, Atlantis, and Rio de Janeiro. The trucking services mainly serve industrial hinterlands such as Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais, as well as grain-producing regions such as Mato Grosso. From the Port of Santos, cargo moves by rail to inland rail terminals, with short-haul trucking on both ends, serving the export of grain such as soybeans and corn.

      Argentina offers 47 basic trucking product routes, fully covering the core ports of Buenos Aires and Rosario. The trucking services mainly serve the Greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area and inland industrial cities such as Cordoba, providing port-to-door and door-to-port inland trucking services.
